Dorm life was pretty much the worst thing ever invented by whomever invented high schools. There were two to a room (if you were lucky) the size of a small kitchen, which left little to personalization. Still Jill had managed to decorate her room with various shades of blue and she thanked herself for not having a room mate. Normally upper class man got the advantage of claiming the singles.
Smiling, she shook her head and split the blinds apart for a moment, eyes watching the ground below. It was dark enough so that the lamps were on and the world outside had turned a crisp black with the lack of sunlight pouring in. Almost 9PM, most of the students were heading back into their personal rooms to either catch some television or some well deserved sleep, especially after Irons's speech.
Tonight was the night of Jill's famous slumber party. Okay so it wasn't really famous and the guest list might have been four people at most, but she'd pretty much invited anyone she knew to head over to her dorm for a little movie night and get together. Hopefully Claire and the crew would show up or it would be a lonely round of chick flicks for her. Someone knocked on the door, interrupting her line of thought.
"Come in! It's unlocked!" she chirped, tossing a pillow into the corner and out of the way.

"Heya."
Claire shot Jill a smile as she managed to open the door, the bag balanced in one arm. It wasn't the first time she had invaded Jill's rooms - last year she had spent a month sleeping on her floor to get away from her loony roommate. This year, tho she hadn't been assigned a roommate, she hoped she would not have a repeat.
"I brought some stuff to help with the munchies."
Setting the bag on the end of one of the beds, she slipped the backpack off her shoulder and glanced around. Jill had done wonders with the room; Claire's doom always looked like a bomb went off in it.
"So, who all you'd invite? Oh, and Chris says 'Hey'."

"Excellent, I managed to stash away some cookies and donuts, we're going to be eating really healthy tonight," Jill grinned, eying her room.
There was enough space for two, a large futon with an empty matted area that overlooked a large television screen and xbox. In the corner her desk was tucked within walking desk of her bed, in case she stayed up later than normal and got lost trying to find where to sleep. Okay that wasn't the real reason but it certainly helped out.
"Not a large crowd, I kind of spread it around the hall that I was having a movie night so maybe a few people will show up. Mainly upperclassmen I hope," she sighed, sinking into the futon as she plopped herself down on it.
The events of the day had progressed quickly and Jill was just glad to be done with the whole dad getting arrested thing. As much as she hated having to go home and take care of the house she enjoyed seeing a familiar setting. The dorms just weren't home to her. Jill realized she'd been zoning and snapped back to attention.
"So, that Sean guy, how did you meet him? He seems pretty okay," she interjected the silence, shooting a smile at Claire.

Claire set her backpack against the wall, then collected the paper bag of goodies. Peering into it, she scanned the contents quickly. She hadn't really been the one to shop for them; Chris had gotten them for her on his way back into town - tho she had simply asked him to snag some soda, she had also made the mistake of saying it was for hanging out with Jill. Claire grinned.
"I got.... some tortilla chips, some salsa and some cheese dip stuff. A liter of Dr. Pepper, and a a few other things. Here; I think this is met for you.... Chris did the shopping for me."
Fishing out the bag of blue Dove Milk chocolates, she gave them a underhand toss to her friend with a smirk before setting the bag on the floor next to the TV. It was safe there, out of the way and within easy reach if they needed it. Shrugging her jacket off, she gave Jill a weird look. Who? Guy? OH, THAT Sean. Claire shrugged.
"He's ok, I guess. A little on the rougher side then most of the boys I hang out with tho. I actually met him like 5 minutes before you showed up this morning.... he came over to talk bikes with me; but by the look, he's more of a Japanese model rider. Still, he seems okay... he's new this year, so I'm sure once he gets settled, he'll do great."
Crouching down, she dropped the jacket on her back, then gave Jill a mischievous grin. Why was Jill asking about Sean?
"Why.... I didn't think he was your type, Jilly. If you want, I can give him your number..."
Claire burst into laughter, rendering what would have been a good threat sort half strength.

"Wait, back up, Chris goes shopping? Who would have guessed," she couldn't stop herself from grinning at the idea of Chris getting lost among the vegetables. In reality Chris was probably the most put together person she knew, aside from Claire. He'd taken things into his own hands, especially Claire's well being.
She paused when Claire handed her the chocolates, smiling softly at the idea of Chris getting her something. Together the three were like a trio so it wasn't unusual for them to get each other things. Jill just enjoyed the idea of someone noticing how much she liked blue... granted you'd have to be blind not to... Jill fumbled with the bag for a moment and then chucked it over to where her bed was. It landed with a decent plop somewhere near the pillow case.
"I'm a worse shot than I thought," she laughed, listening to Claire for a moment.
The guy from this morning had caught Jill off guard; she'd been too focused on talking with Chris and Claire about her dads fall out with the law. There were some things that she just couldn't do alone and picking up after that mess had been one of them. Hopefully she could get Claire to help her tomorrow or at least enlist Chris to. Her comment about Sean brought Jill back to the present.
"Claire! I was just asking sheesh. I don't have time for dating anyways, not with my dad and all that stuff. He did seem to like you a real lot though..." she was grinning before she could even finish getting the words out.
Despite being younger than her, Claire had always made Jill feel as though they were best friends and she hoped it remained that way. Add Chris to the mix and they were a dynamic trio built on taking over the world... or at least the couch for movie nights.

When Bailey had received word of the sleep over at Jill's, she wasn't sure if she was going to go or not. Sure, it would be a great way to get away from her own dorm, since she didn't have a roommate and it did get lonely, but she also remembered she had promised to call Alister that night, too. Luckily, Alister called and told Bailey he was busy, leaving her night open for the sleep over.
Bailey wasn't quite sure what to bring, since she didn't know what the others would bring, so she settled on a liter of Pepsi and a couple boxes of Poptarts, a staple in anything Bailey ever went to. They were her "signature" items. After packing her pajamas and clothes for the next morning, Bailey set off to Jill's room.
When Bailey went to knock, she found the door was open a bit, so she just let herself in. "Hey, the door was open. Hope it's okay I just let myself in." She said, smiling at the girls in the room.

Claire laugh, shrugging off the comment about her and Sean; Jill had her there.... Sean did seem interested in her. It was strange... she hadn't ever had someone that focused on her. Still-
"Maybe. But Chris would eat his soul if he tried, and you know it."
The new voice got her attention, Claire's eyes darting toward the door. She didn't know the girl standing there, but that didn't mean anything. Claire really didn't know alot of people outside her own classes and Jill, so she put on the best smile she could.
"Heya! Come on in. The doors open; right Jill?"

Claire seemed to be thinking about her comment, even if it was just for the sake of thinking. Jill knew that she was half joking when she mentioned Chris; the guy didn't seem to mind guys dating Claire just so long as they were the right guys. Jill noticed that the guys that tended to go after Claire were either immature or the kind of guy looking for a quick grab. She hoped that Sean would be different if he really was showing interest.
A voice brought her back to the present and she turned to see one of the girls who lived on the hall standing with a liter of soda and... pop tarts? Jill suddenly found that she was glad the girl had come, especially with such good taste.
"Oh hey! I wasn't sure if you were coming or not," Jill smiled, ushering her new found friend, "okay so Bailey this is Claire, Claire this is Bailey. She's one of my hall mates."
Jill had met Bailey earlier before, a quick name exchange and then dropped the idea of the slumber party but beyond that she knew next to nothing about the girl other than her obvious love for pop tarts. She had been friends with Chris and Claire for so long that friends outside the trio's circle hadn't really entered in the picture. But this year she was making sure that she'd let new people in, Bailey and Sean were the start of this.
"Just sit where ever you want! Space is limited but not entirely unheard of," she laughed, shooting Bailey a friendly smile.

Bailey smiled and gave a small wave to Claire, the other girl in the room with Jill. She had seen her around, but hadn't talked to her. She was always around others, and Bailey didn't want to seem like the weird girl to go over and enter the group.
"Hey, Claire, it's nice to meet you." Bailey smiled as she walked into the room. She made sure to leave the door open a little as Claire had done, just in case anyone else was coming, and they could get in. She sat next to Claire, placing the poptarts next to her.
"I hope everyone likes Smores poptarts!"
